How to add supporting documents to a workpaper
How to upload supporting documentation directly to a specific workpaper to substantiate ledger balances.
Some workpapers require supporting documentation to substantiate the ledger balance. For example, an investment income workpaper may need an investment statement, or an Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) workpaper may need reimbursement records. You can upload these directly to the relevant workpaper rather than uploading them at the job level.
This is different from uploading source data through Data Sources. Supporting documents uploaded directly to a workpaper are attached as evidence for that specific workpaper only and do not affect automation processing across the job.
Steps
- Open the relevant workpaper.
- On the right-hand side, click the ">" icon to expand the side panel.
- Go to Supporting Doc and select the Edit option.
- A dialogue box will appear.
- Click Upload and attach the relevant file.
Managing uploaded supporting documents
- Click the Eye Icon to preview an uploaded document.
- Click the Bin Icon to remove a document.
- Use the search and filter tools to locate and remap documents if needed.
- Documents can be moved or copied between workpapers to maintain consistency across the client profile.
Supported file types include PDF, Excel, and image files. Supporting documents are attached to the individual workpaper, not the job as a whole. General Ledger documents are view-only and cannot be deleted. To upload source data that Zato needs to process across the full job, use the Data Sources section in Job Setup instead.
