Accounts Receivable workpaper (ACR)

How the ACR workpaper is populated from Xero, how to handle receivables outside Xero Aged Receivables, and how manual journals appear.

The Accounts Receivable (ACR) workpaper reconciles the accounts receivable balance at year end, ensuring all debtors are correctly recorded. It forms the basis for the closing balance used in the Sales Reconciliation (SRC) workpaper when the GST basis is Cash.

Data extraction

Automatically populated based on the Aged Receivables Summary imported from Xero under Data Sources (Ledger).

Section structure

Single workpaper section covering all account codes mapped under Accounts Receivable in Chart of Accounts (CoA) mapping.

Receivables outside Xero Aged Receivables

Already recorded by client

If the receivable has already been recorded outside of Xero Aged Receivables, manually update the workpaper by adding the relevant details based on the supporting documents provided.

Not yet recorded

If the receivable is not recorded, create and post a manual journal directly from the workpaper. Once posted, the details will automatically reflect in the workpaper.

Manual journals

Any journal posted to any account code mapped to Accounts Receivable in CoA mapping will automatically appear in the workpaper as a new line item.

Balance per General Ledger (GL)
