How to add or edit line items in a workpaper

How to manually add or adjust line items in a workpaper when amounts need to be entered or updated that were not auto-populated.

If a workpaper does not automatically include all expected line items β€” for example, if the Balance Per Workpaper needs to be manually entered or adjusted β€” you can add or edit lines directly.

Steps

  1. Open the workpaper and click the Edit icon.
  2. To add a new line, click the + button in the far right column.
  3. Enter the required amount or description.
  4. Click Save to update the workpaper.

When to use this

  • The ledger balance is present but the Balance Per Workpaper amount needs updating.
  • You need to add a manual adjustment that was not auto-populated β€” for example, an investment income figure or FBT reimbursement.
