Logging in for the first time

How to access Zato using your welcome email credentials and complete One-Time Password (OTP) verification.

Once your firm is registered, you will receive a welcome email containing your username and a temporary password.

Steps for initial login

  1. Enter username: Use the email address where you received your welcome invite.
  2. Enter temporary password: Carefully copy the password from your welcome email.
  3. Create your new password: Choose a secure password that meets the complexity requirements shown on screen.
  4. Confirm password: Re-enter your new password.
  5. Sign In: Click Sign In to finalise setup and enter the portal.

For security purposes, you will be prompted to reset your temporary password immediately upon first login. Choose a strong, unique password to protect your firm data.

One-Time Password (OTP) verification

To keep client data secure, Zato requires a One-Time Password (OTP) verification on every login:

  1. After entering your credentials, a 6-digit code will be sent to your registered email.
  2. Enter this code when prompted to complete the secure login process.

After completing OTP verification, first-time users will be automatically directed to the Firm Setup page. You must complete this before processing any client work.

How to access the login page

  1. Go to your firm's Zato portal URL provided in the welcome email.
  2. Enter your credentials as described above.
