How to add or edit line items in a workpaper

How to manually add new line items or edit existing ones in a workpaper.

If a workpaper does not automatically include all expected line items, for example if the Balance Per Workpaper needs to be manually entered or adjusted, you can add or edit lines directly.

Steps

  1. Open the workpaper and click the Edit icon.
  2. To add a new line, click the + Sign button (far right column).
  3. Enter the required amount or description.
  4. Click Save to update the workpaper.

When to use this

  • The ledger balance is already present but the Balance Per Workpaper amount needs updating.
  • You need to add a manual adjustment that was not auto-populated (e.g. an investment income figure or Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) reimbursement).
