Accountant (Level 4) permissions

Permissions for the Accountant role, the core client processing role in Zato.

The Accountant role is the core client processing role within Zato. Accountants prepare clients and outputs for review by Managers or Directors.

Client processing

  • View assigned jobs
  • Upload Trial Balance (TB) and supporting documents for assigned jobs
  • Perform Chart of Accounts (CoA) mapping for assigned jobs
  • Run automation workflows and analyse results for assigned jobs

Workpapers & journals

  • Prepare workpapers, General Ledger (GL) Scrutiny, and Manual Journals for assigned jobs
  • Submit for review

Command Centre

  • Create and view internal queries for assigned jobs
  • Push, investigate, delete, or ignore queries to batch for assigned jobs
  • Send queries to clients for assigned jobs
  • Respond to internal queries, brief notes, and review points

Restrictions

  • No access to firm-level setup
  • Cannot approve, reject, or sign off jobs
  • Cannot manage users or assign roles
  • Cannot create brief notes or review points
  • Cannot add or edit rules and thresholds
  • Cannot sign off the final document

Viewing permissions in the platform

  1. Go to Firm Setup.
  2. Select Permissions.
  3. Use the L1–L6 buttons to toggle between role levels.
