Ziffy AI — in-platform accounting assistant

What Ziffy AI does, how to access it, and how to use its three tabs — Chats, Shared, and News.

Ziffy AI is an intelligent in-platform assistant available within the Workpapers screen. Its primary role is to act as an on-demand accounting support tool, helping users interpret automation outcomes, understand complex data, and scrutinise GL entries.

Access

Click the Ziffy AI button within the Workpapers screen. A side panel opens without leaving your current workspace. Access is role-based — Directors, Managers, and Accountants see information relevant to their permissions and the specific job being reviewed.

1. Chats — interactive assistance

Type questions about workpaper explanations, unusual balances, or reconciliation logic. Ziffy provides both a concise summary and a detailed explanation. Revisit previous conversations, start fresh sessions, and share responses with team members or externally via email.

2. Shared — team collaboration

Stores conversations and insights that colleagues have shared with you, ensuring all team members on the same engagement can access collective knowledge.

3. News — compliance updates

Receive real-time alerts relevant to the NZ and AU accounting landscape, including IRD announcements and compliance deadlines. Click Read More for full articles, or Ask Ziffy for a summarised response.

Ziffy is locally hosted within your jurisdiction — NZ firms' data is processed on NZ infrastructure, AU firms' on AU infrastructure. No client data touches any external model. Ziffy's AI systems are governed under ISO 42001.
