Recoding: Bulk Recode a Posted Transaction
Applying one GL code to several posted Xero transactions at once.
Recoding loads a client's posted transactions live from Xero, which can then be filtered, selected, and recoded in bulk. Unlike Smart Coding, this is a straightforward bulk apply with no per-transaction confidence scoring, useful when you already know exactly which code a batch of transactions should carry.
Recoding transactions
1. Open Tools, then Recoding.
2. Select a client to load their posted transactions live from Xero.
3. Filter the list down to the transactions that need correcting.
4. Select the transactions and apply the new GL code to all of them at once.
