How to fix a credit card balance showing incorrectly as a debit
A known issue with credit card sign conventions and the current manual workaround.
In some cases, a credit card balance may be incorrectly picked up as a debit from the bank statements. This is a known issue that has been raised with the development team.
Current workaround
- Open the Bank workpaper for the affected credit card account.
- Click the Edit icon.
- Locate the Balance per Bank Statement figure.
- Manually correct the sign (e.g. change the positive amount to negative).
- Click Save.
