Dividend Computation workpaper (DVC)

The Dividend Computation (DVC) workpaper is a standalone, template-based workpaper for preparing company dividend calculations. It keeps all the linked worksheets, formulas and calculation logic of a dividend computation in one workpaper.

Availability

• DVC is available only for Company and Company – LTC entities.

• Add it manually from the Workpaper Bank. It appears under the Other section of Active Workpapers.

Data extraction

Note: DVC is template-based. Figures are not extracted automatically, because dividend source documents are unstructured and vary in format. For Company – LTC entities, ICA and IRE values are not brought into the workpaper.

Worksheets

• DVC includes all the worksheets needed for a dividend computation, in a single workpaper.

• The worksheets are linked. A value entered or calculated in one worksheet updates every worksheet that depends on it.

• The Review Points and Continuity worksheets are not included, because Zato covers them elsewhere.

• Navigation between worksheets works the same way as in the Investment – Portfolio & FIF (IRF) workpaper.

Validations

• Missing or incomplete data does not break the workpaper.

• Formula links stay valid after activation and while you work.

Traceability

Every calculated value can be traced back to its worksheet inputs and linked calculations. Each cell shows its lineage as a computed, extracted or manual value.

How to access

• Go to Jobs and open the relevant job.

• Click the Workpapers icon or navigate to Job Results then Workpapers.

• Select DVC on the Workpapers Dashboard. If it is not active, add it from the Workpaper Bank.
