Zato for Outlook/Outlook Plugin

File an email's attachments into the right Zato job in one click, from a panel inside Outlook. No download, no re-upload; the email is kept as a record of where the documents came from.

Getting the add-in

Install "Zato for Outlook." Your firm admin deploys it from the Microsoft 365 admin centre (Integrated apps).

Open an email with attachments. The Zato panel appears with the proposed client and job, and the attachments it recommends filing.

Sign in to Zato (once). The first time, the panel asks you to sign in, using the same login you use here. After that, filing is one click.

Filing happens entirely inside Outlook. Emails you file show up under a client or job in the Correspondence tab.

Adding the Zato Outlook plugin

Pull attachments straight from Outlook into a Zato job, no download, no re-upload. Steps to roll it out below.

Download the manifest. Pre-configured for this Zato environment, no editing needed.

Upload it in Microsoft 365 admin centre. Admin centre → Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom apps → Office Add-in, then upload the file you just downloaded.

Assign users. Choose who gets the add-in. It appears in their Outlook automatically.

Note: These are two separate portal sections, "Getting the add-in" and "Adding Zato Outlook Plugin," kept here as they appear live rather than merged, since it's not confirmed whether they're meant to cover different audiences (end user vs firm admin).
