Custom Views

Save how a table is laid out so it opens the same way every time.

Custom Views save the layout of a table: column order, hidden and pinned columns, column widths, row grouping (up to two levels) and the summaries shown for grouped rows. They are available on tables where filters and views can be set, such as the Clients and Jobs lists.

A view belongs to you and to that one table, so colleagues can keep their own layouts. Saving again replaces your previous view.

1.    Open a table that offers saved views.

2.    Select Grid settings in the table’s toolbar. The Column Panel opens with three tabs: Columns, Groups and Values.

3.    On Columns, choose which columns to show and drag them into order. Select Pin left to keep a column in view while you scroll.

4.    On Groups, choose a field under Select field to group by.

5.    On Values, choose how each column is summarised for grouped rows, or None.

6.    Select Save View. The layout is restored next time you open the table.
