How to fix a credit card balance showing incorrectly as a debit

A known issue with credit card sign conventions and the current manual workaround.

In some cases, a credit card balance may be incorrectly picked up as a debit from the bank statements. This is a known issue that has been raised with the development team.

Current workaround

  1. Open the Bank workpaper for the affected credit card account.
  2. Click the Edit icon.
  3. Locate the Balance per Bank Statement figure.
  4. Manually correct the sign (e.g. change the positive amount to negative).
  5. Click Save.
