Generating and Reviewing Reports

How the financial statements package is generated, previewed, and downloaded.

This is the deliverable, the actual set of financial statements to the client and, indirectly, the relevant tax authority, Inland Revenue for NZ clients, the Australian Taxation Office for AU clients, will see. The output is a compilation, not an audit or a review: figures are taken from client-supplied and connected data without independent verification, and no assurance is expressed over the numbers.

Generating the package

The first request for a report on a job generates the entire package at once, cover page through to shareholder current accounts, rather than one statement at a time. From there, a dropdown moves between statements.

Actions available on each statement

Action

What it does

Preview

View the statement as it currently stands without changing it.

Re-generate

Rebuild that specific statement from the underlying job data.

Download

Export the statement, or the full package.

Edit text

Available on narrative sections (Cover, Compilation Report, Approval, Notes) to amend wording.

The Warnings panel

Runs alongside every statement, a job-level list of issues the automation has detected: unclassified accounts, a Balance Sheet that doesn't reconcile, missing prior-year comparatives, or a failed narrative commentary generation.
