The four roles your firm needs configured in Zato, what each one does, and the full permission level reference.

Your firm needs three roles configured in Zato before go-live. Connect handles all platform setup β€” what we need from you is confirmation of who fills each role.

Champion β€” required

Owns the transition and ongoing relationship with Connect. Confirms GL Scrutiny rules at setup and nominates which jobs go to Connect, with assigned managers and directors per job. Typically a director, partner, or senior manager.

Reviewer / Manager β€” required

Reviews workpapers in Zato, raises review points, and approves client queries before they are sent. Multiple Reviewers per firm is fine. We will work together to get review time down significantly from day one.

Director β€” required

Final sign-off in Zato once all workpapers are manager-approved. Your firm nominates which directors are set up β€” Connect configures access accordingly.

Administrator β€” optional

Manages the client portal β€” sending questionnaires and handling client responses. Can be added as your firm expands use of the platform.
