4. Automation runsConnectConnect initiates the run. Zato processes data, runs GL Scrutiny to your agreed rules, and compiles 40+ workpapers.
5. GL Scrutiny reviewConnectFlagged anomalies reviewed. Items actioned, journalised, or raised as queries in the Command Centre.
6. Job ready for reviewConnectOnce Connect has completed its part, the job is marked ready for review and your team is notified.
7. Your team reviewsYour firmReview workpapers in Zato, raise review points, approve client queries. Nothing goes to your client without your sign-off.
8. Review points resolvedConnectReview points actioned in Zato and updated in-platform. Job loops back for your confirmation.
9. Director sign-offYour firmNominated director signs off in Zato. Journals post to Xero.
10. Financial statements & tax returnsConnectConnect prepares annual financial statements and tax returns in Xero or your platform of choice, as normal — outside of Zato.

Annual accounts is the primary scope in Zato. GST, management accounts, and tax returns continue as-is with Connect outside of Zato where applicable. Your Partner Success Manager will confirm the right approach per job type.
