Client-Level CoA Mapping

Mapping a client's chart of accounts before it flows through to individual jobs.

Chart of Accounts mapping happens once at client level and flows through automatically to every job under that client, rather than needing to be repeated per job.

Mapping a client's CoA

1. Open the client, then Client Setup, then CoA mapping.

2. Upload the CoA, or use Get from ZBox if it's already stored there.

3. Review each account's match-confidence percentage and Parent Account dropdown.

4. Correct any mapping that needs it, using the Needs review filter to focus on what's outstanding.

5. Use Approve all once every mapping is confirmed correct.

An incorrect mapping at this stage flows straight through to every job's workpapers, so it should be reviewed carefully before approval.

How to access: Client Details, then Client Setup, then CoA mapping.

CoA Actions

A dropdown menu of file-level actions for the client's chart of accounts.

Action

Description

Re-run auto-mapping

Runs the automatic mapping process again against the current CoA.

Re-Upload CoA

Replaces the current chart of accounts with a fresh upload.

Get from ZBox

Pulls a chart of accounts file already stored in ZBox.

Download CoA (Excel)

Exports the current chart of accounts mapping as an Excel file.

Delete CoA file

Permanently removes the uploaded chart of accounts file.

Important: Delete CoA file is shown in red, distinct from the other actions, and removes the file entirely. Given every job under this client depends on this mapping, this action should be used with care.
