Zato support

A guide to the two support channels available to all Zato users: the Help Centre at help.zatohq.com and the Ask Zato button inside the Zato portal.

Ask Zato is available directly within the Zato portal from every screen.

Two support channels are available to every Zato user. You can find self-help articles and chat with the Support Bot at help.zatohq.com, or get assistance directly inside the Zato platform through the Ask Zato button. This section explains how each option works and when to use it.

Quick lookups, browsing topics, pre-login questions

Questions tied to your work in the portal, raising support tickets

Option 1: help.zatohq.com

help.zatohq.com is the Zato Help Centre, an external website you can open from any browser. No login is required.

  • Browse self-help articles covering features, workflows, and common questions across the Zato platform.

  • Use the Support Bot, an interactive chat option available on the page, to ask questions and get guided answers in real time.

When to use it

  • You want to look something up before logging in to Zato.

  • You want to read up on a feature or workflow at your own pace.

  • You want a quick conversational answer from the Support Bot without opening the portal.

πŸ“Œ The Support Bot on help.zatohq.com is also available from the Ask Zato section inside the portal, so you can choose whichever entry point suits you.

Option 2: Ask Zato (inside the Zato platform)

Ask Zato is the support hub built into the Zato portal. The Ask Zato button appears in the portal navigation once you are signed in. Clicking it opens a panel with three options.

1. Home

Home is where you start an interactive support session.

  • Type your question and get an immediate response from the Support Bot.

  • Useful for clarifications, navigation help, and feature explanations while you are working in the portal.

  • Conversations stay within your session, so you can describe what you are doing in Zato and get contextual answers.

2. Search for Help

Search for Help opens the help article library directly inside the portal, so you do not need to leave Zato to look something up.

  • Type a keyword or phrase to find articles on that topic.

  • Use it for step-by-step guides, feature documentation, and reference material.

  • Faster than switching tabs to help.zatohq.com when you are mid-task in the portal.

Which option should you use?

  • Quick question while working in Zato: open Ask Zato and use Home or Search for Help.

  • You need a Support team member to look at your issue: open Ask Zato and use Submit Ticket.
