Workpaper Thresholds

Controlling which workpapers get automatically generated for a job.

Workpaper Thresholds determine whether a workpaper is automatically generated for a client, distinct from Materiality Thresholds, which determine whether an individual transaction is worth investigating.

Description

Threshold name

The workpaper the row applies to.

Value type

Value (dollar amount), Percentage, or N/A where a numeric threshold doesn't apply.

Value

The number entered against the selected value type.

Active

Switches a workpaper type off entirely where it isn't relevant for a client.

Levels of scope

Thresholds can be set at four levels, most specific wins: Organisation, Client type, Client, and Job. A Using Master Defaults badge shows until a row is customised at a given level.

Workpaper Thresholds are firm-controlled and intended to stay consistent across the practice; overriding at client or job level should be reserved for genuine client-specific circumstances, not routine adjustment.
