Workpaper variance thresholds

How to configure variance tolerances for each workpaper to align with your firm's materiality guidelines.

Configure variance tolerances for each workpaper, aligning the platform with your firm's materiality guidelines. By default, thresholds are set as Master for all clients, but can be edited per client.

Variance status

  • Reconciled: The variance falls within your predefined threshold.
  • Unreconciled: The variance exceeds the threshold and requires further attention.

How to configure

  1. Click Set Thresholds.
  2. Enter your custom threshold (dollar value or percentage) for each workpaper.
  3. Click Save to apply.

Three workpapers use percentage-based variances: GST Reconciliation (GRC), Sales Reconciliation (SRC), and Wages Reconciliation (WRC). If you set a percentage for a value-based workpaper, Zato handles the conversion automatically. Default thresholds are set to $1.
