Workpaper Studio

Making a manual workpaper available to every client, not just one job.

Add and manage manual workpapers for the firm, a client, or specific entity types.

The Workpaper Studio screen

A table lists every manual workpaper created this way, with four columns: Code, Name, Status, and Entity Types. The table can be searched across all columns.

Creating a New Workpaper Template

Selecting + New manual workpaper opens the New workpaper template panel, described on-screen as "a firm-level manual workpaper template, applied to jobs by entity type."

Field

Description

Display name

The name of the template, for example "Loan Reconciliation."

Applies to entity types (optional)

Left empty, it applies to every entity type. Selecting a specific type, for example Company, means only jobs of that type receive it.

Workpaper group

Which group the workpaper lands in on each applicable job. Left blank, it defaults to Workpaper Bank.

Sheets

Create blank, to start with an empty spreadsheet and build it in the editor, or Upload spreadsheet, to import an existing Excel file.

Once created, selecting Create publishes the template. It's added automatically to the workpapers of every applicable job going forward, matching the entity type and scope set, and keeps applying itself to new jobs until the template is changed or removed.
