Other Expenses workpaper (OTE)

The Other Expenses (OTE) workpaper captures every expense account not already picked up by a more specific workpaper elsewhere in the job.

Data extraction

Expense accounts not mapped to another workpaper's parent code are grouped here under their Zato parent code name. Where a parent code has multiple Xero account aliases, each alias gets its own row within one table for that parent code, rather than being merged into a single figure.

For example, a Motor Vehicle Expenses parent code with three Xero aliases would show as three rows, each with its own Account Code, Account Name, and Amount (per Trial Balance/GL), then a total: MV - Fuel, MV - Repairs, MV - Insurance, each contributing to one Motor Vehicle Expenses total. The same structure applies to any other grouped parent code, for example Interest, which might combine ATO Interest, Bank Interest, and HP Interest into one table.

How to access

●        Go to Jobs and open the relevant job.

●        Click the Workpapers icon or navigate to Job Results then Workpapers.

●        Select OTE on the Workpapers Dashboard.
