Accountancy Fees workpaper (ACT)
How Accountancy Fees is built line by line from invoices or credit notes, and the specific exclusions that need human review.
The Accountancy Fees (ACT) workpaper reconciles accountancy and consulting fees for the year, built up as a running list of individual invoices rather than a single total.
Data extraction
● Ledger Balance: from the General Ledger Detail (Profit and Loss), the account matching keywords "Accounting" or "Accountancy".
● Invoice detail rows (starting at row 23): built one row per invoice or credit note dated within the financial year. Matched by keyword "Invoice" or "Credit Note" in the Activity/Type/Reference/Description column, explicitly excluding rows described as "Payment on Invoice" or "Payment", those are settlements, not the charge itself.
● If more than one entity appears in the source document, only invoices for the entity matching Job Setup are picked up.
● Amount: GST-exclusive by default. If the source shows a GST-inclusive figure only, it's divided by 1.1 to back out the GST. Credit notes are entered as negative amounts.
Exclusions requiring human review
Note: Any invoice line where the description contains "Individual Tax Return", "ASIC", or "Subscription" is not picked up automatically, it's flagged "Human Intervention Required" instead. These are typically personal or non-accountancy charges that shouldn't be swept into this workpaper without a person confirming.
