Entertainment workpaper (ENT)

The Entertainment (ENT) workpaper should otherwise be prepared in line with the standard Bible formulation, with one specific exception around how the opening balance is protected once a user has amended it.

Data extraction

●       The opening balance is sourced automatically from the Trial Balance the first time the workpaper is populated.

●       The opening balance cell remains editable. If the user changes it, that manually entered value is retained.

●       On any later automation rerun, the system must not overwrite or revert a user-edited opening balance. Trial Balance sourcing only applies on first-time population, when there is no existing user override.

●       A small number of other cells (covering manual adjustments) accept manual entry the same way, and automation should not overwrite values entered there either.

●       All remaining cells follow the standard formulas and logic defined in the workpaper Bible, unchanged.

Manual journals

Any journal posted to an account code mapped to Entertainment in CoA Mapping appears in the workpaper as a new line item.

Balance per GL

How to access

●       Go to Jobs and open the relevant job.

●       Click the Workpapers icon or navigate to Job Results then Workpapers.

●       Select ENT on the Workpapers Dashboard.
